Corean (Bishop) Shrable, 83, of Gepp, Ark. passed away from this life on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Mountain Home, Ark. Corean was born Dec. 23, 1939, in Batesville, Ark. to Ernest Ben Bishop and Gratis (Tharp) Bishop.

Corean was married to Max Ray Shrable on Aug. 30, 1958, in Jot-em-down, Ark. and they celebrated 64 years together. Corean worked in the composition department for Baxter Bulletin in Mountain Home, Ark. for many years. Corean loved her family, going far and near to watch the children and grandchildren play ball, water skiing, Halloween, and being outside working in the yard. Corean had a great sense of humor, never met a stranger, and was a member of the Crossroads Church of Christ in Gepp, Ark. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend.

Corean leaves to mourn her passing, husband, Max Ray Shrable of Gepp, Ark.; son, Ray Shrable (Lisa) of Gepp, Ark.; two daughters, Kathy Cochran of Gepp, Ark. and Coleen Massey of Gepp, Ark.; six grandchildren, Kolette Cochran, Kandie Walker (Ryan), Rayleen Cochran, Jesse Shrable (Danielle), Garrett Massey, and Leslie Moss (Bradley); five great grandchildren, Harley Dawson, Birdie Walker, Mabel Walker, Porter Ray Shrable, and Cohen Moss; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents (Ben and Gratis Bishop), five brothers (Clifford, Val, Ray, Marvin and E.G.), and three sisters (Wanda Bishop, Wilma Cochran, and Ruth Montgomery).

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2023, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Ark., with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Visitation were from 1 p.m. until time of service on Friday, June 30, 2023, at Barker Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Shrable Cemetery in Gepp, Ark. The pallbearers were Jesse Shrable, Billy Smart, Mike Batterton, Wayne Winter, David Carr, and Heath Shrable. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Dean Turner, Marvin Maguffee, Sharon Gould Harber, Bo Renfro, Ryan Walker, Bradley Moss, Garrett Massey, and Tim Adams. Memorials may be given to the St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home, LLC in Salem, Ark.
