Six-year-old Asher Haney, grandson of Ash Flat Mayor Larry Fowler and 6th grader at Cherokee Village Elementary School, led the Pledge of Allegiance for city council members and the audience at the recent city council meeting on Oct. 7.Mayor Fowler offered, “I invite any child from our school community who would be interested in leading the Pledge of Allegiance at a council meeting to contact me at Ash Flat City Hall.
