Johnny was born on Nov. 21, 1943, and raised in Egypt, Arkansas, along with his three brothers and five sisters. The kids and his parents all “picked and chopped cotton….and raised chickens and turkeys.”

Thanks for the 16 participants (17 with SID Lake Patrol) in the Lake Thunderbird Boat Parade. Three more than last year and hopefully an indication of more participation next year. It was fun and those in the boats and on shore enjoyed it. Voting was 2 and a half times better than last year. Thank you!
