I am addressing the concerns and complaints regarding the City of Hardy’s timeline for restoring the beach, campground and parks before Memorial Day, specifically concerning the river. It is essential to understand that the river is protected by the federal government, and its cleanup will be a lengthy process.

Salem Lady Greyhounds lost to Harding Academy 7-2 in the semifinals of the 3A State Tournament on Saturday, May 17. The Lady Hounds finished the season with a 20-4 overall record having reached the final four in the tournament for the second time since 2011.
