Billy “Don” Fowler, of Independence, Missouri passed away Monday, July 10, 2023. He was 87 years of age. Don was born on October 19, 1935, in Myron, Arkansas, the son of Willie Cleve and Tressie A. (Clifft) Fowler. Don graduated high school class of 1953 and went on to college at the University of Arkansas and the United States Air Force Aviation Cadets and ATC.

He married the love of his life Barbara Westmoreland on June 27, 1959 and settled in Independence, MO where their two sons were born and raised. Don was proud and committed to his family, always putting them first. Don spent most of his career at Delta Fabricators Inc. as the company’s Vice President and part owner. Don enjoyed flying, rebuilding heavy equipment, restoring vehicles,fishing, boating, and spending time with his family and friends. 

Don is survived by his children Don (Carrol), and Ron Fowler. His grandchildren Michael (Betsy), Nicholas, Ryan (Nicole), and Jeffrey (Nicki) Fowler. His great-grandchildren Lily, Maxine, Beatrix, Noah, Logan, Olivia, and Korben Fowler. His brother Jimmy (Charlotte) Fowler.

He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Fowler, and his parents Willie and Tressie Fowler.
