Billy Vern Gault, 88, of Wiseman, Ark. passed away from this life on Monday, June 26, 2023, at Wiseman, Ark. Bill was born Aug. 28, 1934, in Wiseman, Ark. to William Calvin Gault and Joyce (Insell) Gault.
Bill was married to Susie Kay Pryor on June 13, 1955, in Melbourne, Ark. and they celebrated 68 years together. Bill worked as a jig builder for McDonnell Douglas and was a farmer for many years. Bill loved his family, playing with the grandchildren, music, hunting, and was a member of the Wiseman United Methodist Church in Wiseman, Ark. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather, and friend.
Bill leaves to mourn his passing, wife, Sue Gault of Wiseman, Ark.; son, Bob Gault of Wiseman, Arkansas; two daughters, Vickie Langston (Larry) of Morriston, Ark. and Debbie Martin of Glencoe, Ark.; daughter in law, Kathy Gault of Salem, Ark.; seven grandchildren, Jodie Hoover, Lori Clark (Jimmy), Tania Wallace (Rusty), Seth Martin (Jamie), Brent Langston (Julia), David Gault (Danielle), and Cody Gault; seventeen great grandchildren, Marcus (Taylor), Tanner, Bailey, Blaine, Colby, Brenna, Lexi, Gunner, Tripp, Braden, Brooklyn, Ella, Brynly, Gehrig, Trevor, Gus, and Zachary; great great granddaughter, Evie; sister, Nova McCroskey of Springfield, Mo.; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents (William “Willie” and Joyce Insell Gault), son (William Charles “Chuck” Gault), son in law (Michael “Mike” Martin), great grandson (Breten Russell Wallace), brother (Adrian “Pete” Gault), and three sisters (Pansye Hollingsworth, Mary Smith, and Willadean Standerford).
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Ark., with Bro. Mike Yates officiating. Visitation was from 9 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Barker Funeral Home. Interment was in the Wiseman Cemetery in Wiseman, Ark. Pallbearers were Seth Martin, Rusty Wallace, David Gault, Cody Gault, Brent Langston, and Brian Hoover. Honorary pallbearers were the great grandchildren. Memorials may be given to the Wiseman Cemetery Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home, LLC in Salem, Ark.
