Adoptable of the Week, Touch

“Touch” is named that for two reasons: when he first found his way to Cherokee Village Animal Control as a young, young pup, he would put his paw gently on you for a little touch. But he also has just a touch of white on his paws to complement his black coat. Touch is an approximately 5-6 months old male and enjoys all puppy pursuits but especially his free run time, playing with friends.

Adoptable of the Week, Jinx

This is Jinx and do we have a lot to share about this boy! First, his adoption fee is sponsored. Jinx is one of the rare dogs that come through our doors that gains the status of pretty much “do your own thing” because that’s the type of friendly, chill dog he is.

Adoptable of the Week, Petra

Petra is a beautiful, medium-sized female. Her cream and tan long hair coat likely has a bit of some type of herding breed giving her almost a sheltie or small collie look but with light coloring. Petra did so well at her first adoption event. She was friendly and accepting of all people and animals around her. She is a very sweet dog.

Adoptable of the Week, Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan continues to wait for his forever home and will greet you with his tail wagging. Hulk is a bit of a jumper…he just can’t contain that excitement, and would need continued training in that area. This brown and white hound mix is neutered and up to date on rabies shot. He is a happy guy and would fit in a variety of home environments, but a fenced area is a definite bonus for his exercise needs.

Adoptable of the Week, Happy

Happy, pictured here, would be so much happier if he was once again in a loving home. He was one of our Snow White puppies from a litter that was at CVAC this past winter. As one of the more unique gray pups, he was adopted quickly. But then he grew. And grew. His siblings strongly resembled labs but Happy decided to grow just a bit more and fill out until his adopters realized he was too big for them to handle. At about 8 months old, Happy has lived much of his life in a home and is looking for someone who will welcome a happy dog back into a home.

Adoptable of the Week, Malvo

Meet Malvo, a stunningly unique male adult dog with a coat that is as striking as his name. His rare base white coat with a vibrant tiger striped brindle pattern around his trunk makes him a true standout. With a name as uncommon as his coat pattern, Malvo projects an air of mystery and allure. His rare name gets attention and curiosity much like the dog himself. He will be a conversation starter when people meet him.

Adoptable of the Week, Smiley

This is Smiley, an adult male with herding dog in his heritage. He was very easy to name as Smiley is one of those dogs that smiles. He has great energy to go along with that smile. Smiley with a good brush out would be outstandingly handsome and while it is hot outside now, Smiley would make the coziest blanket curled up on your feet in cooler months. Come visit Smiley and see what he is named for…you’ll be smiling right back!

Adoptable of the Week, Pilot

First, Pilot is not a Rottweiler! He is a smallish-medium 38-pound, 2-3 years old, neutered male. But yes, he has those handsome markings. Pilot is in full time foster and is fully housetrained, crate trained and a great house dog. He lives with two resident dogs and loves to play with them. Within three days of joining his foster family, he pretty much had full run of the house with the supervision any new dog would need for learning what are dog toys and what aren’t. Pilot walks easily on a leash with his “pack.” He loves car rides too.
