Our ADOPTABLE OF THE WEEK is JAG.

Frank was born on Oct. 10, 1943 in Dearborn Michigan.

Loretta came to us as a stray, but we believe she must have been someone’s pet. We are impressed with her manners inside the office, her calmness in greeting new people. She gives a sweet wag of her tail, she doesn’t jump up and she definitely knows “door” is the way to go outside. Loretta has a nice thicker fur coat, perhaps a bit of Husky in her background. Loretta is a medium size dog and will not grow larger. She has those erect ears and sharp eyes to make her a very stunning girl.

Meet Shadow, who came to us as a recent mother, with one of her puppies, Bugsy. Bugsy has been adopted and now Shadow is ready to be an empty nester, and young enough to enjoy life to the fullest. She was always so happy to visit her pup when they were both with us and played and fussed over him. Given the opportunity, she would like to find a home where she can share that mother love with a person, or people. Shadow weighs about 50 pounds. She is one of the volunteer’s favorite dogs to walk, as she walks well on a leash, no pulling ahead, stays by your side.

Lila is a young adult female,with perhaps a German Shepherd mix in her genes. Lila, like many of our dogs, comes out of her kennel with a burst of energy and a smile spread across her face. You can see that happy smile in the photo when it was her turn to hang out with staff in the office. But, she is quick to settle down once she has greeted people around her. Lila would love someone to take her on walks and play with her. She’d be equally happy taking naps on the couch with someone.

Meet Dude, the ultimate laid-back companion! This charming black and white hound-type dog has been given a name that fits him so well! With a heart of gold, Dude loves spending time with humans, whether that’s lounging in the office or going for a leisurely stroll. Although he’s got an old injury that’s left his paw a bit worse for wear, Dude doesn’t let that slow him down - he gets around just fine and is always up for a good time. Now this gentle soul is looking for a forever home where he can soak up all the love and attention he deserves. Dude is available for adoption and can’t wait to meet his new best friend!
