Hardy City Council approves $1 million loan agreement for upgrade to sewer treatment plant

Hardy City Council met Monday, Jan. 13 at 6 p.m. at city hall. Mayor Ethan Barnes called the meeting to order with two new council members present, Amy Clay-Thomas and Natalie Quintana-DuBois, along with Council members Sue Taylor and Mitchell Sparks. Councilman Tony Berry and a third new council member, Ginni Kauffman, were unable to attend. Recorder/Treasurer (R/T) Willow Sharp and City Attorney Joe Grider were also present.

Holloway posts bond

A pretrial hearing has been set for Feb. 10 in Fulton County Circuit Court in the case against James D. Holloway, 54, who has been charged with one count of introducing a controlled substance into another’s body, a class Y felony, when on June 13, 2024, while his wife Cassandra Holloway was a patient in the Baxter Health Fulton County Hospital, he allegedly gave Cassandra a “cathy” in her IV which was later tested to be fentanyl.
