William Wesley Taylor, 79 of Forsyth, Ill., formerly of Rogers, Ark., passed away at 12:45 a.m. on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at Taylorville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taylorville, Ill. He was born on Oct. 31, 1942 in Wirth, Ark., the son of Cecil W. and Angello M. (Angotti) Taylor. Mr. Taylor proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corps from 1962 until 1966. He married Joyce Ann Christensen on Dec. 24, 1990 in Lowell, Ark., and she preceded him in death on Nov. 22, 2021. Bill retired from First Brands as a machine operator, and previously worked as a tow truck driver and on an ambulance crew. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Rogers, Ark. He loved spending time outdoors, especially while fishing and deer hunting. Bill loved to visit with anyone he could, he never knew a stranger. Bill loved stock car racing and delighted in being able to share that passion with his sons. More than anything, he adored his grandchildren, and he lit up anytime he could spend time with them.
Seaman 2nd Class, Brady O. Prewitt, born April 8, 1921 in Martin Creek, Ark., to parents William Abner Prewitt and Stella Reavis, will be returning home to Hardy, Ark. May 13, 2022. Brady was killed in action on Dec. 7, 1941, during the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, where he was stationed upon the battleship, BB-37 USS Oklahoma. Brady was among the missing in action listed after the attack and was able to be identified through DNA testing in August of 2019, giving him the chance to return home for burial in his family’s cemetery.
Marshall Cawvey, of West Plains, Mo., long-time West Plains resident, passed from this earthly life on May 4 at the home of his daughter in Fair Grove, Mo. He was 93 years old and died of natural causes.
Mr. William Cody Foster, 86, of Mountain Home, Ark., passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at his residence. He was born March 7, 1936, in Ava, Mo. to Custer and Arsno (Deathrage) Foster. He was a Navy airplane mechanic who enjoyed repairing clocks, woodworking and bird watching.
Alieen Paysinger-Reed, 66, of Dardanelle, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. She was born June 7, 1955 in Batesville, Ark., to the late Doraine Paysinger and Clara Paysinger. Alieen was a member of the Dardanelle Church of Christ and she enjoyed taking pictures, loved to cook, trout fish and she loved her fur babies. She was a true St. Louis Cardinal, Kansas City Chiefs and Arkansas Razorback fan. She was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Verlene Reed and her sister-in-law, Donna Reed.
