Letter to the Editor

I know I should say the sun, the moon and the earth have aligned, and they did.My wife and I watched the mystery and wonder of the eclipse at our vacation home in Cherokee Village, and the gradual reduction of midday sunlight and the amazing halo were absolutely spectacular.But, as we reflected on the event, we agreed that the real stars of the weekend were the residents, the planning committees, volunteers and the merchants of Hardy and Cherokee Village.We know that many communities were in the path of the total eclipse, but the experience of participating in the weekend festivities in Hardy and Cherokee Village was extraordinary, and the credit must be given to the Stars of the communities.
