South Missouri Horse Show is having an event at the Izard County Fairgrounds Oct. 1 starting at 3 p.m.
The Lady Rebels hosted the Chicasaws on Tuesday, Sept. 13. It was a quick night as the Rebel teams finished strong with a record of 8-1 overall. Seventh grade, Junior High, and Junior High JV all went undefeated while the Senior High team fell to Blytheville in one set.
The Highland Rebel golf teams are playing strong as they go into this week’s District Tournament at Rolling Hills in Pocahontas. The girls have consistently finished in first or second place all season long while the boys are always among the top three teams.

Lena Smith Salem Schools Salem Varsity Volleyball is 1-1 in conference 5-3 overall with a conference win over Riverview Thursday, Sept. 1; 20-25, 25-19, 25-8, 25-13.
It was quite the scene in Horseshoe Bend, as about 90 golfers from eight different schools competed in match play. The Viola Lady Longhorns finished 3rd overall with a team score of 155. AJ McCandlis finished first overall with a score of 43. The boys squad finished 4th with a score of 144. Kody Hart led the way with a team best 46.

The Highland Rebels traveled to Piggott to take on the Mohawks on Friday, Sept. 8 and came away with the season’s first mark in the win column with a final score of 39-0. Though injuries have impacted the offensive line the past couple of weeks, they didn’t let it get in the way of holding Piggott to a scoreless outing.
