Lynn Anderson (center, who is Sadie Meyer’s grandmother) accepted a check for $1,000 from Lucas Collins, manager of Spring River Dispensary in Hardy recently. Meyer, daughter of Cecil and Lindsley Meyer, of Highland, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) on Aug. 24. She has begun treatment at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Collins said that several of the budtenders had children that went to school with Meyer at Highland and they wanted to do something to help. They collected donations from customers and each gave their tip money for the last three months until they reached their goal of $1,000. Photo/Submitted
