Harvey Gene (Sony) Smith, at the age of 72 years, passed from this life Monday, January 23, 2023 at his home in Buckeye, AZ. Sony was born August 28, 1950 to Imogene Peace. He married the love of his life, Marla Hicks, on March 5, 1971.

Sony is survived by his bride of nearly 52 years, Marla, of the home; his mother, Imogene Peace of Thayer, MO; two brothers, Bill Pitchford (Cindy) and family of Thayer, MO, and Jackie Peace (Leanne) and family of Columbia, MO; a sister/ cousin, Dot Meeks of St. Peters, MO; one sister-in-law, Sheila Smith and family of Thayer, MO; Nora Coats-Smith and family and Gina Tucker and family.

Two brothers proceeded him in death, Bob Smith and Keith Smith, and his stepfather, Ray Peace, all of Thayer, MO.

Sony was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
