John Joseph Bain, 70, of Ash Flat, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, December 7th, 2024, at Mountain Home, Arkansas. John was born on November 29, 1954, to John Leroy Bain and Dorothea Cecilia (Quinn) Bain in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
 John was married to Carolyn Sue Irwin on October 12, 1990, in Augusta, Georgia. John served his country in the United States Marine Corps for 20 years and spent 12 years working at the Martin Center in Ash Flat, Arkansas. John and his wife Carolyn adopted all their children and led them to know Christ as their Savior. He was a friend to all and never met a stranger. He was a devoted son, husband, father, and was a member of the Myron Baptist Church in Myron, Arkansas.
 John leaves to mourn his passing, son, Edward Bain of Jonesboro, Arkansas; daughters Malissa and hus­band Ramsey Perkins of Ash Flat, Arkansas and Leanne Bain of Missouri; grandsons, Kaden Lemmons of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Kavan Perkins of Sher­wood, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his wife (Carolyn Bain), and parents (John and Dorothea Bain).
 Funeral Services will be on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. at Barker Funeral Home. The minister will be Brother Hunter Hardin. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at Barker Funeral Home. The interment will be at Salem Ceme­tery in Salem, Arkansas. Memorials can be sent to New Beginnings in Ash Flat, Arkansas.
