August 29, 1959 – January 22, 2023

Susan “Sue” Elaine Martin, age 63, passed away in her home in Ash Flat on January 22, 2023 with her loving husband Brian Martin by her side. Susan was born on August 29, 1959 and was the only child of Wilma and Lester Stout. Her parents preceded her in death. Susan graduated from Highland High school in 1977. She spent a large part of her life waitressing and managing her parents’ restaurant Ponderosa, later renamed Stouts’ Family Restaurant. Susan was the loving mother to four children, Corrine, Jason, Elizabeth and Joshua, and Grammie to Faith, Mattie, Breyona, Jason Jr and new grandbaby Jaxton. She loved music, politics and her doggies. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

A Celebration of life will be held on June 24, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Lot 4 on River Road in Hardy Arkansas near the Hardy beach. Look for the balloons that will be placed near the location. The family requests that any one attending bring a lawn chair. The event is a Celebration of Susan’s life and in lieu of flowers those attending are encourage to bring a dish to share and drinks.
