Reliable, affordable electricity at risk
Since 1939, North Arkansas Electric Cooperative has provided our members with reliable and affordable electricity. That mission is getting more difficult due to many factors that, sadly, are outside of our distribution co-op’s control.
Expanding Arkansas’s National Security Role
Protecting the United States and our interests is a fundamental responsibility for the federal government. Our founders made this role clear when they wrote the Constitution with the intent to, in part, “provide for the common defense.” Today we understand how vital that is in the face of threats from adversaries and competitors around the world.

A Special Election for Highland School District is being held Feb. 14 for the proposed school budget and tax levy beginning fiscal year July 1, 2024. Included in this budget is a TAX levy INCREASE of 8.9 new debt service mills. The proposed increased tax money is to build/fund a new high school among other projects. This is the SECOND TIME this specific school mill tax increase will be put to the citizens of the district.
